Justice

Though you bring choice fellowship offerings,
I will have no regard for them.
Away with the noise of your songs!
I will not listen to the music of your harps.
But let justice roll on like a river,
righteousness like a never-failing stream!
—Amos 5:22-24

The question I hear most today is, "What difference does Jesus make in the world?"God has made it clear that he is gathering together a people who will express his truth, righteousness, and justice through the way they live their lives. Love and justice are to guide us. If our faith does not bring positive change into the world, then what is it worth?

"But someone will say, 'You have faith; I have deeds.' Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that---and shudder." (James 2:18-19) True faith inspires a personal response to the needs we see around us.

Together, we seek out God's guidance and strength to meaningfully make a difference in the world around us. We work to avoid weak sentimentality and cultural fads while seeking God's eternal wisdom for deep and lasting solutions. We desire to be a living answer to the question, "What difference does Jesus make in the world?"
